Wyoming @ Utah State - Game Thread

Utah St.'s defense ranks just as good as any other defense we will face this year save for BSU. TCU's is obviously a notch above too despite a poor ranking, but statistically USU's D is just as good as any MWC D and they have played a legit schedule to date.
They gave up 35 points to Colorado State. Nuff said.

That wasn't really the defense's fault. Weren't there two fumbles on punts and then half the points came in OT?

Wonder if the field conditions are effecting the players. That is the worst field I've seen from any team this year.

Time to see what Smith is made of. Its all on him to keep this close.

Wyoming needs to score on this drive. USU starts the 2nd half with the ball first. They need something!

This game's over. USU decided to put the pedal to the metal to not even remotely risk a let-down. It's all BYU's fault.

Our defense should just go for turnovers and nothing else. It's not like they can stop them anyway.

I think this team will struggle to get 5 wins. UNLV and CSU can go either way. New mexico should be a win but we lost to them last year. by the way im not watching any more.

42 points in one half from Utah State?

You know......on this same exact 1st Saturday in October last year, BYU fired their DC for a bad performance at Utah State. Wyoming should follow suit......

Extremely disheartening. Certainly not the kind of 'progress' I was looking for out of this team and from this coaching staff. I never imagined the D would be so horrendous this year. In my silly little opinion, the players simply don't fit these schemes. If the D Coord (and HC) aren't adaptable enough to make adjustments then WTF are they being paid for? I honestly don't see major issues on the O side of the ball. However, the D blows.
