DC - "Wow, Tom, this is fantastic news. I'm headed down to the Buck to have a cold one with the team. You know we have a bye week so it's PARTY TIME!!."

Getting nervous watching this Fresno-SDSU game. Derek Carr is the real deal. Quickest release of any QB in college football. These guys will do awful...awful things to the Cowboy defense.

Yes but notice how sudsy has caused him a lot of trouble by bringing good pressure. That's how you stop good QBs. It's a mystery to Tormey.
 
I don't really think CDC is the problem in fact he is an amazing OC and he isn't a bad head coach, I just don't think he is worth what he is getting and if he was making half as much we could hire a proper defensive coordinator. I don't know if he chooses his DC but I would be hard pressed to believe he chose tormey.

And a lot of people don't acknowledge. A lot of non-AQ coaches right now are getting paid less and doing much more.

That said, tread lightly. Hawaii was paying Greg McMackin $1.2 million......deemed to high for a bowl-less season...and, well......UH is paying for that one dearly.

At this point I could give 2 shits about who a coach is outside of football. Piss on graves and kick little kids in the balls, as long as you win, all is forgiven.
 
Just watched the game. I am almost in tears. My stomach is in a knot and I can't believe we lost.

I don't know anymore guys. I really don't. I'm sitting here completely stunned that we ended up losing that game.

So many should've could've would'ves. As I sit and reflect on the almost fourth down. ...or the awesome performance by wick.

We lost. I can't believe we lost that game. The saving grace of the season will be an upset of Fresno.

Although this one hurts, I had this chalked up as an L before the season. Not to keep dwelling on Texas state. ...but shit

I don't care if we hire Lucifer, Old Nick, Belzeebub or Louis Cyphre, just win baby at this point.
 
What sucks is seeing someone like Smith come to Laramie and just not be a winner. So lucky to have him and we squandered it. The future isn't bright. Next year is shaping up to be tougher than this year. I'm tired of saying year after year "always next year."

I do feel bad for the players though. I think they are destined to fail at times. Put in bad situations.

Did I mention I'm literally physically sick we lost that game. SOOOOOOOOOOO many chances.

Yep. Even though Smith was off tonight, but he's been the leader of the offense for 3 years. And several others too, worked hard all night. Wick ran his ass off today, Herron was back in form, Easton punched it in a few times, and Smith scored 3 through the air, but it just was not enough.

A big problem is the physicality of the linemen, or rather, the lack of it. Our o-line often gets pushed around, even by smaller d-linemen, and our d-line is not only sorely under sized (even Mertens is light for a NT, which are generally around 330lbs), but in passing situations, where smaller size usually means better pass rush, we just get bowled over.
