SJSU releases statement that they are investigating and will offer restitution to players who had items stolen. That’s good the university is at least stepping up. But I am still stunned how this even happens.

And SJSU ‘won’ the volleyball match because of our forfeit. They aren’t mad. The forfeits have now actually provided a marginal SJSU team, which probably wouldn’t have qualified for the MWC volleyball tournament, a free ride to the tournament. We beat the same SJSU team last year with the same biological male in straight sets and it wasn’t even close. What is it that our forfeit this year accomplished? We did reduce our chance of making the MWCVT and postseason play because only the top 6 teams make it. Are we going to forfeit against SJSU again if we overcome that and make and have to face SJSU in the MWCVT tournament and eliminate ourselves?!? What exactly will that prove other than reward the behavior?

It’s absolutely ridiculous that they are playing a biological male in volleyball. It’s absolutely ridiculous that NCAA rules even allow for it. But the better response to me would have been to kick SJSU’s ass and to be so loud and distracting that SJSU wouldn’t ever dare to pull this again even if the NCAA doesn’t address it.
