Akron has been a doormat for quite a few years. I don’t believe they would be .500 in FCS with their current team.Wyoming is -8.5 with Akron and it is surprising. May just show how bad Akron has fallen. Figured it would have been the standard +3.
One thing is certain - Wyo. will not have to deal with crowd noise. I doubt there will be 5k in the stands.Akron has been a doormat for quite a few years. I don’t believe they would be .500 in FCS with their current team.
You've got to be right. Didn't we score in the last minute to get our first lead of the game?I'm guessing it was 3 or 4 years ago when we played at Connecticut. We barely won but I think we were pretty big favorites. They hadn't won a game in more than a year.
Probably right about that. If any school in FBS should eliminate their football program and save the money, it’s Akron. One thing is certain - Wyo. will not have to deal with crowd noise. I doubt there will be 5k in the stands.
Now you did it. Time to burn sage, do a chant, or something.Probably right about that. If any school in FBS should eliminate their football program and save the money, it’s Akron.

I listened on radio. I was disgustedCorrect. Wyoming were, somehow, 31.5 point favorites in that game. I was there and it was absolutely miserable.
Uconn missed a 2 point conversion to tie it with 4 seconds left. I think our DBs had probably 5 DPI to extend drives that game. And Sean Chambers threw 2 picks.
If we lose to Akron, we will know that we are back in the Koenning era of football programs. Given what I saw last year in terms of coaching (or lack thereof), this certainly cannot be ruled out.Now you did it. Time to burn sage, do a chant, or something.
If any school in FBS will lose on the road to a team that should eliminate their football program and save money, it's WYO.
