Strong, Leonard, Rushing and Magnuson all played last year, just not necessarily that much or in the spot they're currently in. Strong started 11 games after switching over from defensive line. Leonard has traded sides, from left to right. Rushing started four times at guard as a junior. Magnuson has played both guard and tackle. And Jones watched from the sidelines for a year as a redshirt.

From these six linemen, Wyoming hopes to cement its offensive line for the entire year. The quicker their roles are finalized and adapted to, the quicker the big men can start building the chemistry that is so important for the position.

"Playing on the offensive line, experience is huge there," Brandon said. "More so than any other position."

Considering the circumstances, I don't think the line did a bad job at all. There's always room for improvement, but only allowing 1 sack against Texas was a damn fine job by the boys in the trenches.

Could always use improvement on picking up the blitz. They had issues when Texas blitzed. When Texas only rushed 4, they did just fine and gave Smith plenty of time. But the blitz, Smith scrambled for his life almost everytime.

With Wyo you can't judge the linemen's performance based on statistics like sacks Wyo1016. Smith makes them look better than they are a lot of the time because of his escapability. They would've given up a lot more than one sack with someone less mobile at QB.
