Wyoming @ Nebraska - Game Thread

So much for that 52-10 that Huskers fan thought damn fine game by the Pokes, This is going to be one exciting season!
 
I am bummed they lost but wow, that turned into an exciting game.
Pokes came SO close to upsetting the Huskers.
Fuck off to every Nebraska fan that said they would blow us out and we didn't have a chance.
Smith showed he is better than Martinez.

So close man. If we had just a few more minutes.
Big props to the D for stopping Nebraska at the end when they needed to.

Idaho is going to get destroyed next weekend.

You can't say he squandered it. The game completely changes with every different outcome in a play. If we make the field goal, Nebraska kicks a field goal instead of goes for it on 4th down for example, and we would've been in the same spot, most likely.
 
It's over? Crap. Well, offense and defense both proved a lot today. Smith is even better, and shut up the husker trolls and proved he's better than Martinez is, the lines on both sides did pretty good actually, and although a loss, its not a complete loss by any means. Offensive wise, over 500 yards on the dreaded Husker D (Smith with over 300 passing and over 200 rushing combined), d-line wasn't getting pushed around, in fact they were doing most of the pushing.

We learned a lot in this game, and that HCDC (despite some questionable calls) really is an offensive guru.

We needed more perfection. Smiths INT was pretty big
 
Take off the Bullshit Int and Bullshit TD or give us back that missed FG & 2 PT conversion, That's ok though these are things we are going to have to overcome anytime we are on the road. I think this season will be much more enjoyable!

Agreed. Can't go back that far in the game and assume the only difference of the game is just more points for Wyo. It completely changes the game. We wouldn't have to go for 2, we wouldn't have been down 10, etc. Just everything. Wow what a game.

True but regardless Christensen squandered a scoring opportunity, and we could of used one more scoring opportunity. Got to play all 60 minutes and not just concede 2 minutes when that 2 minutes turns out to make a difference.

We actually had 602 yards of offense. Martinez probably had a better passer rating, but he also fumbled the ball.
 
Our receiver got tackled downfield on that last play before the ball got there! Could have easily been call PI! Regardless, I'm disappointed our boys stopped playing from halfway in the 3rd to half way in the 4th. Excited for the season. But Nebraska's defense is going to get shredded this year. We had 600 yards of offense.

Brett smith averaged a little better yards per pass bit give me a break on outplaying Martinez.. Must fucking suck to be a UW.
 
Still pissed with how we ended the first half. With that said, the Pokes will win a lot of games this year.

It's only pass interference if the ball is catchable, though. It went out of bounds well before it got to where he was.
