The WyoNation Blog writers have been enjoying an offseason of sunburns, good beer, and good music, but we are 72 days away from the Border War. I may be missing the mark, but I have not seen many media releases behind the new Mountain West + App. The affordable prices have quietly been released, as well as a discount that you must sign up for before July 1.
The Pricing We Know
Monthly = $10.99
Yearly = $79.99
Discount = $63.99 for the first year if you sign up for the email list. https://watch.themw.com/ is the landing page; head on head over and sign up to get that 20% discount. The FAQs mention you can sign up on your favorite university's website. Wyoming (gowyo.com) does have a link that points you back before mentioned. You MUST select Wyoming as your favorite school as the Cowboys and Cowgirls would receive a partial amount for that.
What you must do!
The old Mountain West App will not work come July 1. Head on over to your favorite App Store July 1 and download the latest Mountain West + App. Don’t panic Sept. 12 trying to setup the app and payment then miss kickoff as the Pokes take on the UNC Bears.
Rumors
I have seen it mentioned that a school would receive 60% of the subscription fees; not bad if true.
You will be able to watch your favorite school from their website. I find this interesting if you can stream from gowyo.com as it opens a ton of advertisement opportunities for business. Businesses like clicks and eyes on a scream promoting their business, also, cheaper than TV advertisements.
What else
Fall is fast approaching and not only will football kickoff soon, but so will Wrestling and Basketball. Sunny had a presser yesterday you expect some great content from Bryan coming soon. Wrestling is coming off camp season; I will get some interviews lined up around the end of summer! Wrestling does welcome 14 new wrestlers this year; I am going to feel like Bob Uecker in Major League, “A lot of new faces, hopefully we’ll have some of the names that go with those faces.” I did ask if the home duals will be streamed on the new App; fingers crossed.
