Wyoming gets Missouri State for 2031 & 2035

Pokes travelling to Missouri State--I guess similar reaction in Texas when they announced travelling to Wyoming many years ago. I would like to think the former was the bigger downgrade!

Missouri State. Yay. No, really. Yay. Goodie. Peeing my pants with excitement.

The sad part - there is at least a better than decent chance that we lose.

1st game at Springfield, Missouri in 2031.
return game will be in Laramie for 2035.

Needless to say our AD is a complete moron!!!!
I don't hate this, Mo State is a solid program with a lot of potential growth in the FBS. Idk why we're trying to schedule a meh tier game this far in advance but these could be two conference championship tier programs come 2031 and 2035

Tom Burman is that you?

While the future makeups of CUSA and the MWC are pretty much garbage, this is lipstick on a pig if I ever saw it.

Missouri State was traditionally a bottom feeder FCS school. Like worst of the worst. New Mexico State bad. Missouri State did make the FCS playoffs twice in its history (both first round losses during the COVID years) and qualified for a bowl in a real bad CUSA last year (falling to Arkansas State in who the hell knew that was a bowl bowl).

Fun Fact:

Missouri State's Second Largest Crowd Ever (and largest crowd in over a decade) was against Chadron State followed by the Gorillas of Pittsburg Kansas. Will Wyoming draw more fans than the mighty Eagles of Chadron State?

Another fun fact...Missouri State's average attendance increased almost 25% from its last year in FCS to its first year in FBS!!!!!

...unfortunately that was from an average of 9,100 to about 11,500.
