My expectations of DC & staff (since his arrival) was much higher than where we are. Especially in year 5. That is the part that just kills me.

Yep. 2011 was promising. 8-4 regular season, 3rd place in conference (with TCU and one of BSU's best teams), and a bowl invite.

Things started turning South with the New Mexico Bowl.

You do find yourself wonder just what it was that led things to go south......That 8-4 season Smith's freshman year seemed to suggest big things were ahead. But I pointed out many times that team won a ton of close games. Wasted all their luck in 2011?
