Wyoming drops 2018 game at Idaho

Knew that was going to happen seconds after Idaho announced their football program was rejoining the Big Sky.

No surprises here. Hopefully this opens up the chance to put a solid team on the schedule. 2018 will be year 5 for Bohl, hopefully we're in contention for the MWC that year and could boost our SOS by playing a Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12 school to make up that game. Pie in the sky thinking, but if an AD is in a pinch for a home game in 2018 and sees we have a vacant spot, maybe they see it as a body bag game and get us on the schedule. Wishful thinking, but stranger things have happened.

Well there's already a Pac-12 (Washington State) and SEC (Missouri) game on the schedule, in addition to FCS Wofford.

Selfishly, I wouldn't mind scheduling Minnesota.

Someone mentioned this to me on Twitter, but NMSU could be a possibility if their schedule is free.. as they'll be riding the independent pine. Or maybe a team like UMass.

I only see one game on their 2018 schedule, and it's not the week of the dropped Idaho game.
