I am scratching my head at all these knuckleheads over on the MWC board from UNM, UNLV, and CSU who simply believe this stuff is going to happen (and soon). Can you imagine a Big XII briefing in June announcing the inclusion of UNM, and CSU? I think the commissioner would have a hard time glossing over last year's deplorable records for the schools. The PAC 300 commish would have a similarly hard time saying SDSU and UNLV in the same breath as USC and Oregon. Simply laughable.

Wake me up when it is all over.

Disclaimer: Doesn't mean I ain't worried about where we end up...we need to get consistently competitive--real damn quick. Otherwise we might be playing Northern Ariz and Weber State on an annual basis. I just don't see TV markets outweighing competitiveness in the criteria for selection (maybe I am naive).

Actually, the Mayan's do not predict that the end of the world is happening on Dec. 12, 2012. The translation is it has something to do with a change for the Mayan's, not the end of the world.

The Mayan's developed a 26,000 year calendar that starts and ends around the lineup of the earth with the center of the galaxy. December 21st (I assume sometime in a western hemisphere timezone) 2012 the calendar comes to an end and a new cycle begins. Just like December 31st is the last day of the year and January 1st starts a new year in our calendar. At least that is my understanding of the date.

Now for my doomsday prophecy. If you start to see signs happening like I've mentioned below, start paying attention for the end of the world.

Wyoming kicks some ass in football this year - we win a few more games than most fans are expecting. Not undefeated, but say 9-10 wins.

2011, we win all games and go undefeated.

2012, we go undefeated again, and the MWC is included in the BCS. Wyoming is selected for the national championship game in January 2013.

Then I'll be scared because there is no way in hell "they" are going to let the Wyoming fans enjoy a NC game and December 21st 2012 seems like as good as day as any to end the world to make sure it doesn't happen.

Uh, I did it in the 2009-2010 season? I swear, I did not rig it so that all teams ranked ahead of me lost horribly to some unranked team...
