Wyoming @ CU

Buying season tickets and I live in Arizona. I just want to support this team and coach. This is looking like a great year for all UW sports, and I couldn't be happier.

Wyoming winning, Hot women, & cold beer are the three best things in life.

That was a horrible call on the Washington charge. He was set up for 2 seconds.
I was screaming at my TV on that one. Hell he was growing roots

Wyoming became a mature road team tonight. This was their first road win in the last 23 road games. We are playing smart, under control basketball. Way to go Pokes. :thumb:

Played through the refs. If they had done that in the first road game this would be an undefeated team. Wyoming basketball is back folks

I was at the game. Nice Poke crowd there. Martinez and Waddell were very good. Team defense was just outstanding. We are so lucky to have Shyatt back. Team played with poise. They played under control and didn't turn the ball over until the refs decided the fluffs could push and shove any Wyo. player that had the ball. Great win Pokes!

All game long these announcers just running their mouth about how Wyoming has had an easy schedule and that is why they are winning games. What do they say now that Wyoming just got lucky and CU just shot bad?

Wyoming is a much better and extremely improved team doesn't matter what anyone has say.

To be fair, they were explicitly repeating what Shyatt told them. And honestly, it's exactly right - the Pokes haven't played a team that is remotely close to NCAA tournament quality and have played exactly two games on the road.

That being said, this was a really good win for these guys. And really what has me most excited is that there were some areas that we could have easily played better - especially all the turnovers in the first half. On the other hand, it worries me that we do not have a perimeter player that can readily create his own shot. That is what will hold this team back more than anything this season. Teams will crowd Luke and Pako on the 3 pt. line because they don't have to worry about dribble penetration.

Waddell was a beast on the blocks in the second half and we are going to need him to get points in crunch time like he did in this game.

I enjoyed the hell out of that game and I am really looking forward to MWC play. We should be capable of .500 or better in the conference and if we can do that I think we could be NIT bound. That would be a huge accomplishment.

If the Pokes are able to finish .500 in conference play they would most likely get an invite to the NIT. Assuming that they win half of the rest of their non-conference games (6 left) plus the 7 in confernce to get to .500 that gets them to a 19-11 record. I'm not putting it past them to win the rest of their non-confernce schedule either which would put them at 22-8. The toughest game left on paper right now, as was mentioned in another thread I think, is @ Denver.
