Leading up to the 2009 "Border War" between the Wyoming Cowboys and Colorado State Rams will be the annual running of the game ball between Laramie, Wyo., and Fort Collins, Colo., on U.S. Highway 287.
This year's running of the game ball will take place on Monday, Nov. 23 when the ROTC detachment from the University of Wyoming is scheduled to begin the run at 5:30 a.m. from Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium.
The UW ROTC detachment is scheduled to meet the Colorado State University ROTC unit at 10 a.m. at the Wyoming-Colorado border on U.S. Highway 287.
Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen and UW Athletics Director Tom Burman are scheduled to be at the exchange at the state line at 10 a.m. to represent the Wyoming Cowboys.
Media are invited to attend the event on Monday.
This year's game will be played Friday, Nov. 27 at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins. The game will kick off at Noon, Mountain Time.
