Wow I feel kind of young. Only graduated High School in 2007.

As for the topic, most people I knew would have laughed it off, but you could always count on one person taking it too seriously and blow it out of proportion.

And sadly, the word "homosexual" used to just mean something or someone odd. Now, somehow, it's a slander against gay people. And I first learned of the word in Tom Sawyer, one of my favorite books as a kid.

Wasn't Tom Sawyer banned in a lot of libraries for a while there?

My personal feeling...parents today needs to toughen up their kids more but won't do it because they don't time or they're afraid they'll get sued for it. This country needs to make it much harder to sue people AND to make term limits mandatory at all levels of government for anyone that's elected!

You're thinking of Huck Finn, and no, it wasn't banned in Laramie, as I read it for an English class in high school.
