McManimal shot a higher % than Ogirri ever did. I would say Dalton was a solid shooter his Senior year as well (over 40%)

Ironically, we had two shooters in Shyatt’s last season and ended up with our worst post-Schroyer record. JMac was awesome that year (44% on 6.5 attempts/games) and Adams hit 38% on 8+ attempts/games. Even Gorski hit shots that year. I am pretty sure it was the best perimeter shooting team statistically that we have had. Unfortunately, it was also the weakest front court we have had that I can remember.

Having said that, we need shooting in a big way and I am not sure we have enough. Hendricks is key.
 
The injury bug already hitting Naughton. Not a good start to the season for him. He might be the most important guy on the team this year. We need some size and strength inside

That's what I was thinking. He's constantly injured

“What I would like to get out of this exhibition is watching our intensity, particularly on the defensive end of the floor,” Edwards said. “I feel like this group has the ability to be a really good defensive team. That’s what our focus has been on. I want to see some carryover from practice to actually playing against someone else.”

Edwards said he’s comfortable with an eight-man rotation right now but would ideally like to get nine or 10 players regular minutes if possible.

I\From the few minutes I've seen him play I've liked his offensive game a lot. His perimeter defense was among the worst I've ever seen, however. Hopefully he has improved that part of his game so he can get on the court more!

I see that the first CSU game isn't during Christmas break this year. That's good -- think it is so stupid that they ever scheduled the boarder war for a time when the students weren't in town.
