Wyoming Athletics - Legislature

Good evening (or I hope it is getting better).

Last night I posted some information about the budget session of the Wyoming Legislature starting in February and potentially building a small site to email form letters to our Legislatures in the appropriate districts and ask them to help fund athletics and the University more.

If you are interested, send me a PM. Things I would need:

1.) Understanding the legalities of doing so. I know that having someone from out of state send a letter to the legislature is pointless. But proving they are a voter can actually have some teeth to it. It also creates some privacy problems.

2.) We need to come up with a common goal and try to write it down. We should also build some well written letters to send to the legislature.

3.) If this all comes to fruition, we need to get the word out and get letters out to the reps.

Anyone interested? I'm a bit beat down from the last week (losing to Fresno, watching presidents resign, etc). But I still think we could try to do something.

Nevermind. I'm truly over this. I hope I can go to another game this year without getting sick. I'm just over everything related to UW.

Goda--it no! Don't give up! This is a crock of sh-t foisted on us by comfortable Romans.

As for your approach- voters scare these guys, but DONORS (to their campaigns) scare the sh-t out of them. This is how you go after them- ANY merchant who proudly supports UW- let them know you'll vote with your wallet. Blind allegiance to a "mediocracy"won't be tolerated, nor supported. In a state like Wyoming, the threat of commerce withheld can be pretty impacful.

Your probably right. I'm just wearing thin these days - like all of us have been. Hell, maybe the place to start would be to get after the board of trustees and interim president. Then launch a campaign on the legislature.
