Wyoming at San Diego State thread

If this loss does nothing else, it atleast forces Glenn to stop hiding behind the "We dont turn it over, we dont loose" excuse that was taking all the heat off of him and Cockhill. Sween did exactly what he was told, and ABSOLUTELY no blame can be placed on him. He works with a second grade playbook, and throws it on a rope when he finally gets a man in space. Our offensive line is unraveling like a fat a$$ ball of yarn, and our defense is breaking down for the first time all season. Our offense did what it has to do to win a game with this defense in the first half. Capitalize on turnovers and great field position. Outcome? 21-0. Then, like usual, SDSU's D cordinator completely out coached Cockhill in the second half, and the blue print was then laid for beating our defense. 95% Pass, 5 % Run. Get your QB out of the pocket to avoid the zone blitz which comes on every down, and light up our linebackers and safeties in coverage. Dont be afaid of second or third and long! Because we will still have 4 linebackers in on 3rd and 25. 1 or 2 will blitz. Roll away from them, and look for whoever Prater is covering and throw it right over his head...

Good post, I totally agree... This game was just the icing on the cake. It is SOO frustrating to watch our kids lose like this, it felt like the coaching actually TOOK this game out of their hands. That sounds stupid, but I just can't wrap my head around the play calling. It is easy for me to be critical from the couch, but game after game I see the most predictable play calling that ANYONE can see coming, and underutilized athletes getting frustrated. We HAVE the talent on the field, just not on the sidelines. Coach Gleen needs to step up and have a come to Jesus meeting with his staff to shake it up some, or call the plays himself if he is so great.

Yeah, it was a bad loss. But, I won't say that the D kept their heads up. When you have the lead and you've stopped the Opponent all game and then allow a comeback like that, there's nothing to be proud of. Especially giving up the last drive to give them the win. No desire to win.
And you can't blame the coaches on desire. A coach can only push a kid so far, the kid has to perform. And the entire team stalled out. Yes, I'm agreeing that we need a new OC. Only 200+ yards this game to a lower tier team. That is an emarrasment.
I don't believe that we'll lose out, but you never know, I didn't think we'd lose to SDSU either. So I'm seeing anywhere between 6-6 and 5-7., Which is pretty close to where I predicted at the beginning of the year.
But this is kinda reminding me of a similar situation involving another Joe. Joe Tiller. Maybe since we have most of our starters returning and key players returning, we'll bust out a huge season like we did in 96. Because these last two years have reminded me very much of the 94 (6-5) and 95 (6-6) seasons. Next year might look pretty darn good.

If that is the case, hopefully this Joe won't announce he is leaving while we are playing in a chamionship game (or bowl) That year was such crap.. 10-2 and NO BOWL?? Stupid Notre Dame, I love to see them lose, they were like 6-5 that year and went bowling. I wonder if they make up a rule this year and let ND in a bowl with one win.. hahaha

I'm not sure if we will make a bowl game after this game, but I can promise this year will end on a good note(Beating CSU)

What about BYU? So, you're saying we'll lose to Utah (no argument there), but beat our two biggest rivals.

I could live with that.

Exactly. I see the last 2 games as wins.
