I must admit I do that sometimes to. But, when I'm on their fan site, Sports Hawaii, I make sure I don't say Rainbow Warriors. They REALLY get bent out of shape over there when you say that about the football team. Funny thing is that the basketball team is STILL called the Rainbow Warriors.

The change was only made for the football team. All of the other men's athletic teams at UH are called Rainbow Warriors. All of the women's athletic teams are called Rainbow Wahine. Wahine is Hawaiian for wmen.
 
I believe Coach Nash is not using the term Rainbows for the basketball team.

We are the Warriors and go by no other name. June Jones terminated that term.
 
Speaking of the Rainbows... the Montana Griz just handed Jerry Glanville and Mouse Davis another loss, outgaining them on offense, 488 to 413 or something. In true Glanville fashion, the defense wasn't worth a s##t, and the offense scored on a couple of homerun throws.. PSU was all about the HR ball. 34-31 Griz, but wasn't as close as the score indicates.
 
OK, Let's get back to talking about the POKES!!! We are looking good so far... 14 - ZIP!! KEEP it up Cowboys..

Notice that when the SDSU QB gets little or no heat, he usually gets the throw to an open receiver? Most of the time, except the last drive, they couldn't catch it. In spite of the two pics, the secondary just isn't up to the SDSU QB and receivers. No heat, no win. Blitz every down and let them have whatever they can get on the run.
