Wyoming and Texas Game Thread

Other then the D making horrible tackles I have to give them some props they had better then I had expected but the O just can't do anything :(

Especially on the running part. The passing is improved at least. :|
 
After two games, it appears our offensive line is the weakest spot on the team. They aren't giving ACS any time at all. Defensive line has done better today than last week in my opinion
 
Yep, now that our offense if moving the ball, and the defense is stopping texas, hinesight says we should have taken the points.

They took him out because he was hurting. Smart thinking by Christensen, as there's no use risking our starter against an OOC opponent that we won't beat anyway.


Edit: At least I hope he's not injured. He was limping a bit, but not too bad.
 
Well regardless of the final score and last 5 minutes of the game, I think the team overall played better than last year. Our offense had a couple sustained drives (didn't really have any last year), our defense had too many missed tackles but still kept the game in reason.

I hope this bodes well for the home game against Boise State. Maybe being at home next week will give us the little extra spark needed to pull it out.
 
The Pokes played well tonight. No reason to hang their heads. the Defense was outstanding most of the game. Held a very potent Texas team down for quite a while.
 
Ah, texas airing it out with 3 minutes left and game in hand. Nothing like the other team trying to run up the score
 
I think they played texas harder this year than last year, in front of 100,000 fans. They have some work to do on the run game and obviously Prosinski should step up and teach tackling to the rest of the defense. I think it can come together.
 
Agreed. A lot better play this year. We only had 3 offensive points last year. Our td was defensive last year. We passed the ball well and sustained drives. My prediction was off, but, It was a lot closer than the score shows. Take away that huge texas td pass before half and we go for fg's on 4th down and this score is 27-16.
 
Oh, and maybe Boise isn't really that good as thought...They barely beat Virg tech and VTU gets their butt handed to them by James Madison today. Might bode well for Wyoming especially since this game is in Laramie.
 
I'm a Texas fan, but hats off to Wyoming. You guys played great, really. The defense for the Cowboys was playing really tough in the 1st half, and the offense had a drive late in the half to take a 7-6 lead. I was honestly worried. You came into Austin and played us tougher than a lot of teams do. It was a two possession game the whole time as far as I'm concerned. I think Wyoming is a pretty good team, and I realize the schedule is pretty tough. The Cowboys have the ability to win quite a few though, after witnessing a great game tonight. Hang in there: I'd love to see Wyoming ranked soon! Upset those Broncos!

Some classy Texas fans out there. I really mean that. The people with the brown and gold 12 painted on their chests was awesome.
