Wyoming and Texas Game Thread

I have to say I really don't like Christensen's philosophy of running out the clock in the first half when we are losing. I remember sometimes last year we would just kneel the ball in the first half when losing. I would much rather see our team try to score and go into the half with our head held high than our tail between our legs. What do we really have to lose by trying to score, on the road at the #4 team in the country?
 
I really hate the way Wyo does handoffs. They look like shit and so predictable. Hell toss it to the RB once in a while.
The tackling is just PATHETIC.
 
Well, it was about 25 minutes of really good football. Defense may be have gotten a little gassed towards the end. Must tackle better. with the exception of the last 5 minutes, pretty damn good first half.
 
^^^Agreed, too bad in that last 5 minutes though we gave up 14 points. This is shaping up to be a bad 3rd quarter just like last year, unless we start tackling better.
 
It was a good move by DC. This is only a 2 possession game right now. (td and fg) Why risk bombing it down the field and having it picked off for a Texas td? What's better? Texas 20, Wyo 7... or Texas 27, Wyo 7?

Ture, and if we score in the first series of this next half it will be worth it. I guess I would have rather seen us try some short to mid range passes 7-8 yard type and see if we could move the ball a little in final 1:30 to close the score out some rather then just resigning to be down by 13. Also, whats better? Texas 20, Wyo 17 or 10,.... or Texas 20, Wyo 7.

Taking the risk opens up for big reward but also big failure. Let's hope it works out to the right call and we score on this opening drive.
 
Well at least Gipson got to Bring the Wood once, Unfortunately Wyo can't tackle shoulders tackles so lazy!

I can't take it does the D coach not preach wrap up this D tackling is really pissing me off!
 
How come no one from the defense wraps up on tackling? Even right there, one of the Gipsons just hit the reciever hard after he caught the ball but did not wrap up it was total shoulders. We either just hit them with shoulders, or try to arm tackle. Where is the hit with the pads and wrap up?
 
If it ends 27-7 I'll tale it but the O can't move the ball, Not sure if I want to see Wyo go for it on 4th down they haven't had much luck moving the ball.
 
I hope after this timeout we go for it. Our offense isn't moving the ball enough to settle for a field goal and hope to come back. At least if we go for it maybe we will make it real interesting, if we don't make it I don't think the final result will be much different than if we take the field goal

Went for it on the fake. Should have thrown it.
 
Agreed, I would have rather seen a regular offensive play than a fake, since I think Texas expected us to go for it anyway, but at least we tried.
 
We could really use an outstanding special teams play like we had last year. A punt return for a td or punt block would be really helpful
