Are you going to have the game up tomorrow? I will only be around my computer and I don't have access to ESPN3, so I won't be able to watch much of the game otherwise. Thanks if you are able to.
 
So, I'm not sure how much people have paid attention to what's going on in Congress, but I'd like to point out that if SOPA passes, Wyonation will be shut down if not all mention of streaming content is removed (which could seriously take a bunch of work), and there's likely to be lawsuits involved too. There's already been plenty of articles out there on how bots will accomplish the search for sites such as this.

SOPA will ruin a LOT of lives, not to mention a ton of legit businesses will be shut down - there's a reason even Google feels seriously threatened.

I believe the next hearing/vote is on the 21st.


Completely related: GO TO HELL ESPN, Disney, ABC, NFL, MLB, Time Warner and all other lobbyists behind what is potentially a job killer for millions of people.

In most cases SOPA is going after people making money, Those would be people that Stream live PPV events and ask for donations so you can watch them. As for removing streaming content from forums that's like a 30 min job for anyone who knows anything about forums.
 
Actually, the money-making aspect is not true at all. They've stated multiple times that this is going after any and all unlicensed content. A big reason Google is going after it hardcore is because it would shut down youtube - something which they provide with ads indeed, but still at a net loss.

Major sites which would be targeted are Reddit, Proboards, Wikipedia, 9gag, tumblr, and facebook.
 
This sounds like a terrible deal for everyone. I shoulda thread this thread before your PM, Wyo2Dal. :)
 
SOPA IS a terrible deal for everybody, but money talks, and Hollywood has put a LOOOOOOOT of money into this, and Congress doesn't understand the first thing about how Internet works.

I'm seriously afraid for my job because of it.
