I don't know what to say other than Gilmore needs to quit shooting he hasn't hit shit all night he needs to realize that there are hot hands on the team and he needs to dish it to someone else. I'm not going to say he cost us the game but as a senior he should know better.

Sobey shoots 100% all night and Gilmore just keeps heaving shit up, I can't fathom to understand what Gilmore is thinking.

We had a chance to win this game and we actually gave it away 100% gave that win away.
 
They competed and played hard.....can't ask for much more. Everyone has been losing at the Clune. Hope this efforts sticks, the Pokes could surprise someone if they (they being Sobey) can keep playing like this.
 
Crazy how many bench guys have career nights against us. We can shut down big guns but some ass wipe always steps up

Sobey should even with a loss warranty a look at MWC Player of the week. It's hard to deny someone of that recognition when they shoot 100%.
 
Way to throw away a game....

There was no excuse for losing this game...why in the hell do not sit a guy that isn't working out!!!

Maybe this was the game where Sobey was going to show why he is on the team, If he can do this once he can do this more often he just has to be given the opportunity.
 
Gilmore can be an asset if he would play the position he is assigned to...Point guard. I concede that he has scored a bit against UNLV and SDSU...but, he was the only one chucking up shots after burning the clock down to under 5 seconds. Tonight has shown one thing that we all suspected...we have scorers on this team...move your damn feet, move the damn ball, and take the open looks!!!

Gilmore should never drive the lane...EVER!! Do the job of a point and distribute the ball to the guys that have the hot hand...

Its an uphill battle just to not play in the pigtail game. Its either Colorado State in Round 1 as a 7 seed, or Nevada/Fresno in the pigtail game, followed by the Hobos.
 
Papa Shy is pissed!!

I honestly believe he is going to turn around this program, but I do believe that he needs to take a short look in the mirror before applying blame. He should have sat Gilmore or at least had a discussion with him during halftime....
 
Gilmore having his period? 0-11. Refs didn't help with a 23 - 15 call for AFA, against a Wyo team that doesn't usually have a lot of fouls. But the big difference, in my opinion, is that the Pokes can't seem to create an "emergency" style of play in close games in which they trail. Like the ability to get down the floor quickly and get a shot off quickly, with attack on the boards for a rebound if necessary.
 
Gilmore as a senior PG should just know by now what his position is on the floor and that is to lead the team distribute the ball to the hot hand and keep the scoring going not heaving 3's with 5 seconds left. I dunno I just dislike that game play in the 2nd half from someone that imo should know better.

After a shitty night like tonight I bet he goes off for 26 in the Pit and we lose by 15......
 
Gilmore actually only took open shots for the most part ad they just didn't fall. I at least didn't see him shooting the crap he normally does so it was an improvement. Also I think the game completely turned after Nance got called for the foul on the clear block that he had after that they get two free throws and we lose one of our best players, huge play with limited time left.
