WYO vs Fresneck

Lines came out closer than expected but I think that's due to the fresneck shift in offense. This game is all on Junior. Fresneck should be fairly 1 dimensional assuming they stick with Conklin at qb. Luke, Donelson, and Ramirez are a pretty solid trio of backs. POKES are allowing 160 on the ground. If they do that and have key stops on 3rd down, it could be a grind which is good for the POKES.

On O, fresneck has a solid stop rate at 68% and WYO has a low red zone td rate at 57% as well as low 3rd down conversion rate of 37%. This is a tough out for the o.

The other critical stat will be turnovers. They took 3 from bsu. If POKES win the turnover battle by 1, win probability increases. If win the to battle by 2, POKES win. If to battlevis neutral, I think this game is a grind out slug fest in the trenches. When POKES have scored the most, they've had a lot of plays. If fresneck's o is getting 1st downs, they'll chew at the clock even if they don't get scores. This will force WYO offense to be efficient which they haven't been good at. Back to Junior, he has to get them off the field early in drives and the O can't turn it over.

I'm putting faith in Junior on this one and going with WYO 17 fresneck 16.
 
Fresno State just hammered SDSU!
The Dogs are on the rise. Getting beat by CSU was wierd, but Norvell gets fired two weeks later.

You mean bsu? suds beat them 23-0 a few weeks earlier.

Madsen went down for bsu. Cutforth came in and was dysfunctional. 2 int and 2 fumbles (1 lost). bsu receivers had a lot of drops and team had 100 yds in penalties. fresno also switched qb and went run heavy. I think bsu wasn't prepared for that. Weird game.
 
I'm glad that there is still optimism regarding this team. But I do not want to see us in a bowl game this year. We are objectively, one of the worst teams in the conference and have not played a team with a winning record closer than 14 points. We have an immobile qb who throws passes not even Manute Bol could catch. My hope is that Drube gets on the field early and we get to see if he might be the future. We now know that Anderson is not.

I want to see us in a bowl every year. As much as I want a new head coach, I will never root for the team to lose. And if we make a bowl game in a warm enough destination, I will immediately start buttering up the wife as to how great such destination would be for a December trip.

I just want to see success in my remaining time that I’m able to travel to games. I might have to skip on Boise though. Wouldn’t mind a game at the Frisco bowl and Arizona is a no brainer.

Loved our trip to the Arizona Bowl each time. No chance we would go to Boise if qualify for a bowl game there.
