Wyo. vs App. state line

The defense continues to get gashed on both passing and running plays. I hope we make some good adjustments at halftime

I don't understand the coaching decision at all to take a timeout after the Peasley sack at 3rd and long and then just run the ball for a short gain.

If you take the time out you should be going for the first down and running the ball up the middle on 3rd and long is super unlikely to get the first down. Otherwise you might as well let the time run out.

That coaching decision makes no sense at all and it cost us three points after the horrible punt

Peasley 2-5 for 18 passing yards for the half. That's the definition of one dimensional there. Either the coaches have to trust him to throw since they decided he could play this game, or they need to put Svoboda in who is at least a threat to throw the ball if Peasley is still too injured to be trusted throwing

Offense, defense, special teams, and coaching are all a disaster.

We’re lucky to be down 5.

At least we start with the ball at half.

I would / will be surprised to see him play. Conference starts next week, and he likely won't need to play much in that game (New Mexico) either. Maybe a full heal is necessary, so he can be healthy for Fresneck and the rest of the MWC schedule.

In the scenario if Peasley doesn't play for three straight weeks, and Svodoba does and we assume he plays decently, will Bohl go back to Peasley against a likely undefeated Fresno?

I think it could potentially be a tough call at that point to go with a quarterback that has been injured for a month and hasn't played versus one that will have now had three games of experience and getting into a groove with the receivers. That's of course assuming that Svoboda plays well and wins both today and next week. If we lose either those games then it's a much easier decision to just go back to Peasley even when he hasn't played

Well, we all know how my prediction turned out. Peasley clearly has a hurt shoulder, but stubborn assed Bohl still went with him. Christ.

App State figured out early in the game that Peasley was still hurt and not a threat to run except on a broken play. More 8 or 9 in the box to try to run against.

I think Peasley saw that Evan could complete a few passes against Texas and sandbagged the staff and told them he was fine. If he sat another game and Evan played mediocre, it’s possible he might lose his gig.

As long as Bohl is coach Peasley will be the QB unless too badly hurt to play. That given, he was clearly too injured to have any called QB runs against App State and probably should have been told to sit, res, and get ready for the MW season.
