Ok so going into the half 9-24. It's a two score game and we start with the ball. Not over yet dudes. A score on our opening drive and we're right back in it.
Halftime states:
Wyo/Tex
First Downs: 7/11
Total Plays: 29/41
Total Yards: 203/243
Passing: 166/105
Rushing: 37/138
Penalties: 3 for 25 / 2 for 20
Possession: 12:23 / 17:36
Turnovers: 2 / 0
I know Texas has some monsters at RB, but it looks like we might still be plagued by an inability to stop the run.
The biggest discrepancy I see is in the utter inability to get anything going on the ground for Wyo. If I'm Texas I'm going start keying in on Wyoming's passing. We HAVE to keep them honest with a respectable run attack. On one hand I think good ol' Smith is our best rusher, so why not open up his running. On the other, I completely understand not wanting to get him hurt considering the overall unimportance of this game and how important a healthy Smith is to our team.
Any thoughts?
