Fucking high pass turns to another TO ugh :(

Blame the WR who dropped it not Colby.

It was a high pass, at the top of a 6' 2" receivers out stretched hands, That is on both of them. I'm not blaming Colby alone but hitting the numbers is a preferred location across the middle not above someone.

It was Jake Maulhardt...dude is like 6'6"...Colby threw the ball 7.5 feet off the turf. Jake should have caught that, but Colby has yet to hit a receiver in the numbers. He either under throws or over throws his receivers. Our receivers have done fairly well to just catch what they do.
Give me a break, that ball went thorough his hands and should have been caught. End of story.

I said Jake should have caught it! But the ball is constantly throw at arms reach or at knees...very rarely in the numbers. You cannot deny that.

So ya 6'6" and still at the top of his out stretched hands, Colby needs to bring the ball down so the receivers can make a catch and do something afterwards. If they always have to sell out on jumping or reaching like mad for balls it limits their ability to make anything happen after the catch.

I'm curious if he's being coached to do this (throw the ball 4 feet above the receiver) to limit the chance of interception (maybe?), or if he just can't hit a receiver lower.

It's not a new occurrence; it's been going on through all five games this year.

Not sure why no one on defense showed up today. The defense has kept us in our 3 wins and at least slowed Oregon down on some drives. They have been eaten up today by both the run and the pass.
