WYO/MSU GAME THREAD

Dantonio is a douche and a liar. We dont like blowing teams out and running up the score! I call bs.
Don't be a baby. He's trying to make up for that Oregon loss on their one common opponent. We deserve to be crushed today.

They've been playing several of their backups already, including their backup QB. It's their second stringers that we can't stop right now.

That said - we scored!

I'm not concerned about the offense as they have moved the ball somewhat. The defense on the other hand is completely terrible. Has not stopped them once just like the Oregon game. Defense you would think could make them punt at least one time but that isn't happening.

The last three possessions, they've had to take the ball like 35 yards. No punting inside the 35 even with a stop.

Would've been nice to force ANY kind of kick, though.

Right that was my point whether it is a punt from somewhere else on the field or a field goal they haven't even made them kick. Been TD after TD.

Will this be the worst loss in the past 25 years?

No way!! You forget those games vs Utah and BYU when we looked like an NAIA team? At least only our Defense looks NAIA today

Can we go 42 seconds without allowing a TD???

We get the ball coming out of halftime.
Could be 42-21 next time MSU has a real drive.

For all our offense's shortcomings (Kirkegaard), this is actually kind of impressive. If we showed any proficiency on defense this would be a one score game.

He's fielded 3rd stringers. We still haven't stopped them.
he has fielded 3rd string QB, but are "thin" on the oline, and still have their main Oline guys in

Fucking high pass turns to another TO ugh :(

Blame the WR who dropped it not Colby.

It was a high pass, at the top of a 6' 2" receivers out stretched hands, That is on both of them. I'm not blaming Colby alone but hitting the numbers is a preferred location across the middle not above someone.

The point is that a great team makes that catch for the first down and a MW team has it go off his hands for an INT. We need that play to be made

It was Jake Maulhardt...dude is like 6'6"...Colby threw the ball 7.5 feet off the turf. Jake should have caught that, but Colby has yet to hit a receiver in the numbers. He either under throws or over throws his receivers. Our receivers have done fairly well to just catch what they do.

..., we need to play some backups.
Their backups are better than ours, it will still be worthwhile experience for us.
We need our key guys to stay healthy going into the bye week.

This I salmost exactly what I said last week. Then I said START the subs. Give them the experience. Show them what they need to do to get better

So ya 6'6" and still at the top of his out stretched hands, Colby needs to bring the ball down so the receivers can make a catch and do something afterwards. If they always have to sell out on jumping or reaching like mad for balls it limits their ability to make anything happen after the catch.
