CARDIAC COWBOYS: Adams, Nance, McManamen lead UW past Boise State in OT (WyoSports.net)

“I think (the players) are happy to be in the championship game, but I don’t think they’re ready to settle for anything less than a championship victory,” UW coach Larry Shyatt said.

“I think they’re going to have a little bounce in their step,” he said. “This is an opportunity that they want to seize. Neither of (the first two tournament wins) have come easy. They trailed and had to come back.

“We’ll give it our best shot. I have no question that at (4 p.m.) they’ll have pretty good try and pretty good focus.”

Aztecs advance to MW title game (San Diego U-T)

Wyoming regularly plays its starters heavy minutes and has to be exhausted, physically and emotionally, after two down-to-the-wire games in as many days. But it has the desperation factor on its side, knowing one more win gets it an NCAA Tournament berth (as the conference’s automatic qualifier) that it’s otherwise not getting.

What complicates things for the Mountain West is Wyoming. What happens if the Cowboys win Saturday and get the conference’s automatic NCAA berth? SDSU, you figure, is already in. That would leave Boise State and Colorado State hoping – praying – the selection committee takes four teams from the nation’s 12th-rated conference.

Thanks, CowboyNV. It's always a roller coaster ride being a UW fan, so you have to enjoy the good times. I read and watch most of these stories/videos anyway, so I might as well post for others. Nothing difficult about copy and paste. Lots of good Poke fans who only lurk, also. (You'd be surprised at who reads these forums.)
