Discussing the future doesn't mean you are jumping off the bandwagon.

I know I was one of those you are referring to, but I only brought it up because the discussion was about players who will be on next year's team (the McD's AA thread).

I too was disappointed in our fan base this week and even during stretches of tonight's game. It's okay to be frustrated with how things are going, but sometimes people just need to know when to stop.

Yeah, I agree. The thread talking about next years starting line-up wasn't negative toward this season at all.

Great win tonight....but should have taken care of business earlier.

Not really sure what Shyatt is referring to that was so bad? I never saw anything on this board unless I missed something that had anything real bad towards the team. All i saw really said is that it will be tough for this team to get an at large bid because of our OOC schedule and losing at home doesn't help it. Not sure about anything else anyone said. Maybe he isn't even referring to anyone on this board .
 
I don't think our board hold that much water to what coaches and players react to. More than likely something was being said to a coach or players around campus or town. Forums don't get "that much" attention when it comes to coaches and players. Tweets directed to a coach or player might.
 
Sometimes fans from other teams pose as Wyoming fans (even on twitter) and post things that try to get a reaction from other fans, players, and/or coaches. That very well may be what happened.
I think Wyoming will be a better, tougher team in March (this season) than we are right now.

Added Fresno State coach Rodney Terry: “I thought there at the end that we were going to hang it on our defense and see if we couldn’t come up with one more stop. But we weren’t able to get the stop that we needed to get. They threw one in. We were right there. That’s a difficult shot and he made it.”

“I thought there at the end that we were going to hang it on our defense and see if we couldn’t come up with one more stop and if we were able to then we could come back down and try to play advantage basketball and if we didn’t and we needed to take a timeout then we’d take a timeout and set something up,” Terry said. “But we weren’t able to get the stop that we needed to get.

“They threw one in. We were right there. We were right where we needed to be and the basketball gods threw one in for them on that one. That’s a difficult shot and he made it.”

How do you figure? The absolute worst we would be (with an auto bid) is #13 because 14-16 are "reserved" for auto bids for the low-level conferences. Him putting us at 12 is basically saying the only way we get in is by winning the tourney.

Correct and Jerry Palm only had SDSU listed as the only team making the tournament from the MWC this week. So we are going to have to win probably 15 conference games and a game or two in the MWC to have any shot at an at large bid. We could end up being the SMU of last year.
