San Diego State's Fisher praises Nance, prepares for 'hardest trip'
Fisher watched 13-year NBA veteran Larry Nance Sr. play throughout his career, and thinks the next Nance could be headed towards an equally bright future.
“I remember watching the dad play, and the son is not too far away," Fisher said. "The son is a very, very good player who has gotten better every year. He came in and wasn’t sure he was good. He didn’t know if he could play at Wyoming.
"And now he knows he can play not only at Wyoming, but when he finishes from Wyoming [he can play professionally].”

“Now they are full go and have done something we haven’t done — beat San Diego State,” UW coach Larry Shyatt said. Fresno State topped San Diego State 59-57 Jan. 3 in Fresno.
“They are using their speed and athleticism. They’re very quick. They play all forwards and guards. They put a burden on you by pressuring on defense and running the floor. The biggest difference now is (Guerrero) gives them another terrific 3-point shooter. Five of eight guys that play a lot are really good 3-point shooters.”
“They’re a scrappy bunch. A hard-nosed team that knows how to play basketball,” Nance said. “They have little, quick guards, rather than guys that are going to overpower you and go through you. But that poses a different threat. We’ve got to change what we did (against San Diego State) and take better care of the ball. Get more assists and keep turnovers down.”

“We’re going to have to really work hard defensively staying in front of the basketball,” Terry said. “These guys, they don’t turn the ball over. They take care of the basketball and they play well together. They’ve been playing together for a while and they have a good feel about who they are and what they’re trying to get done.”

Wyoming withstands missed opportunities to down Fresno State in triple overtime
"Each individual guy had to reset mentally," Nance said. "After the first overtime, Riley was upset because he missed the 3. So we had to reset him.
"In the second overtime, obviously, it was me. Riley and Josh actually made me laugh before the start of the last overtime. Our team does a good job of making things fun."

Surprise there! After we lost, there was 2 different threads about next seasons starting line up!
But... we are getting over the hump. Turning the corner.
Turning the corner isn't beating every elite team in your conference every time. No one does that. Duke, Kentucky, and UConn do on the BEST years.
For us, turning the corner, is going into CSU and winning. For us it is not dropping to San Jose State. For us it is beating Fresno.
Look where we are. We fucking got this. This team is bad ass. We are close to getting all the way over the hump.

I know I was one of those you are referring to, but I only brought it up because the discussion was about players who will be on next year's team (the McD's AA thread).
I too was disappointed in our fan base this week and even during stretches of tonight's game. It's okay to be frustrated with how things are going, but sometimes people just need to know when to stop.
