Wyo @ Fresno

Next up: Fresno State.

Fresno is struggling REAL bad in the MWC this season.
Wyo SHOULD win this game, but it is a road game, and Fresno plays defense, and our style of ball, not to mention Wyo has been getting some pretty hectic wins lately.

If they can take care of business in Fresno, Wyo will be 5-2 in MWC play with 3 road wins. That would be HUGE.

Hope this game is on TV!

Fresno had UNLV on the ropes all through their OT game in LV tonight, but just couldn't close the deal. Same thing, without the OT, at Viejas last week. The Bulldogs are a very dangerous team and should be favored by about 2 points going into this one.

Almost wins and actual wins aren't the same thing. I doubt Fresno is a 2 point favorite or even a favorite at all.

I watched UNLV vs. Fresno last night (and part of SDSU & Utard State). Both OT games.

Conference is heating up. All four teams looked impressive.

Fresno won't be easy by any means.

When the line comes out in Vegas or offshore Fresno will be favored by anywhere from 1 to 2.5 points. Its not tough to figure out. Just look at what the lines opened in the games played between Nevada at Fresno and also New Mexico at Fresno and compare it to when Nevada and New Mexico played at Wyoming.

Then do a small adjustment for home court and the situation with both teams coming off of overtime games. Fresno will be favored when it opens. Now it might change by the time the game starts based on where the money is going.

This game won't be easy. Hopefully we are ready to play this year. Last years game there was an abomination.

I expect this to be another very close game. Another game that could easily go either way.

Fresno State is better than their 1-7 conference record would indicate. The Cowboys are the better basketball team, but they will certainly be tested on the road in Fresno. Any lapses in focus and/or execution and the Pokes will leave Fresno with a L.

Watching that game against UNLV really has me scared of these Bulldogs, they are not getting it done at the end, and we truly need to go in there and play our game and show them what for, but I am a bit nervous about this one....stop Guerrerro and Johnson...cmon guys let's steal another good win on the road!!!!! Don't let their record fool ya

This Fresno team reminds me of the Hawaii football team this year.
They were in a lot of conference games, but couldn't get the wins.

I think Fresno is going to be tough, because of the way they play mostly.
It is like our style.
They won't be blown out in many games, so we need to not have any cold stretches offensively.

Fresno is tough, they gave the Rebels hell on Saturday. They live by the 3 and that's exactly what kept them in the game vs UNLV. Guerrero is terribly arrogant and claps and smiles in the opposing guard's face. Assuming Shy schemes against the pick and pop on the perimeter, the Pokes should win.

Guerrero thinks a lot of himself, but he isn't even one of the top 2 players on that team. Containing Tyler Johnson will obviously be a key, but another player to keep an eye on is Paul Watson. He is a freshman who can shoot lights out from distance. We cannot afford to let him get hot and expect to win on the road. The sole goal of whoever is matched up with Watson should be to run him off the 3 point line at all times. Make the dude drive it to the basket and rely on help defense.
