WYO @ BSU Game Thread

I really hate how we just throw in the towel, We've did it against TCU and against BSU. Oh well I don't care for the weak ass game plan it's like DC didn't actually want to win or wasn't willing to really play loose and aggressive.

Hopefully Smith is back to 100% next week.

Very similar Wyo2dal.

Boise's CB's made a couple good plays on potential big plays. B. Smitty's fumble hurt a lot. We could have been up 10 or 14-0.

I believe that if there had been a goal line view of the hail mary, we would have seen that in fact the ball didn't cross the plane of the line. because it was such a far pass, there was no goal line camera. The view of the camera was from in front of the goal line which makes it look like the ball is more forward than it is. I believe it's called parallax. Since the player was down, the second he grabs the ball, he is downed, not where he brings the ball to while laying there.

I saw the damn ball bounce during live action and thought to myself "that looked weird, I think the ball hit the ground". Then the replay confirmed it. Kinda weird how every play that was reviewed was initially ruled against the cowboys so that we needed the dreaded "indisputable". I don't know what fucking replay they saw, but I don't know how much more indisputable it gets.

Now I'll agree, we probably don't win if things went our way, but that hail mary fucking killed any chance we had and knew we weren't winning after that. TD's should have to be indisputable especially on a fluke ass bull shit hail mary. One of the line judges actually ran up to where the BSU player caught the ball as if to mark him down outside the endzone. Remember when doctson made that sweet fucking catch against Neb? Replay showed, foot in, but guess what, not for you because we ruled against you on the field. I'm tired of shit going the other way. I'm surprised they over ruled the one catch by Doctson today. I want, for once, to see a replay and say to myself ,"I think the other team got hosed".

Did we even try to win the game today?? or was coach just seeing where we were going to be in the 4th quarter before we were trying to win?

Sorry I'm just sick of losing to BSU/Utah/BYU/TCU. I didn't think this BSU team was all that great today and we blew any opportunity we had. Maybe BSU's defense was really that good today.

To me the game ended when DC decided, with a minute+ to go first half, to try to run out the clock. But at least he realized, overall, the main (maybe only) hope against BSU was the pass. I'll give him credit for that.

Didn't get to watch or listen to the game today. What was up with Alexander? Did he get hurt?

Not sure. Only got 6 carries. I didn't even notice him in the game at all.

Easy there, talk like that will get you on Poke Around's hit list, he will insult you, put words in your mouth, blow it out of proportion, forbid you from stating pros and cons, etc. I assume your initiation will be soon, so welcome to the club. I think MrTitleist, JimmyDimes, maybe a few others are in it. ;)

I am wrong? I thought it was illegal for a defender to kick the ball away from the ball carrier. It happened a few years ago against AFA, and again today, the defender kicked the ball away from Smith. I thought that was illegal but the last and only 2 times I have seen it, the officials let it go and it hurt UW. Should this be a tactic our defense should employ?

Fulback41, only when you talk out of both sides of your mouth. Opinions are fine, and I respect that others will disagree with mine. But with you, it's two-faced and spouting out both directions. I was just trying to find out where you really stand. And with you, it's with your butt backing out the door. For someone who says he is going to let something die you can't help yourself. No one needs to put words in your mouth because you have plenty of words fumbling out of both sides of your face. And I find it interesting you can't even stand on your own. You have to try and draw others in it. You don't even have enough backbone to stand on your own two-faced posts. . Yawn.

Nah cause I didn't call anyone a quitter directly I just don't think DC pushed as hard as I had hoped he would.

Somehow I got the feeling that after the game probably got out of reach, that DC just played it to protect the players from getting hurt since next week is HUGE (at least he better act like it is)

I have to admit, I was pretty scared when Smith was tackled out of bounds and held his left hand and then kept shaking it, after which he sat out for a few downs.

After the 3rd Qtr, I'd say he was protecting his team. I'm calm this morning so I can post without becoming enraged. I think we tried to throw a few wrinkles into this game that didn't work. If it had, we would all be saying "genious". I still don't understand why you take your biggest playmaker out of the game during the first half. At least they should have had Stratton throw on a fake run. Hell, maybe Smith got dinged in practiced or during last weeks game.

Now, we just take care of CSU and go whip some ass in a bowl game. Hopefully we snag a few DL recruits. I don't think we've had this many committs before the season has been over ever. Mertens (hopefully he can get back to weight and strength)will be back along with the interior. Puletasi, Taufasau, Durbin, Purcell. We will have Yarborough, but I think since Durbin and Purcell will be seniors next year, we better be getting some big DT's this year.

Hawaii bowl? My wife said she might want to go to a bowl game! Weird huh??

It might happen. We''ll either get Nevada or Hawaii. But Hawaii has to beat BYU next week and I honestly can't see that happening. The Bows got hit with the injury bug really bad this year. For example, their backup QB got hit hard enough last night with a concussion so he's probably out for the BYU game. The normal starter at QB is out for the year with a foot injury.

I couldn't watch past the second quarter, but what they hell was up with the gameplan? Why take Smith out of the game for upwards of 16 offensive snaps? Stratton? WTH? Smith has proven to most dangerous when moving. They called few running plays for him and telegraphed the run by bringing in Stratton.

Im just pointing out facts. I didn't call anyone a quitter directly... and there is a whole thread of people discussing the end to that game, I just brought it up later. Also this forum's post history is a matter of fact.

We enjoyed the NM bowl last time, it sounds like more UW fans could make that one than others.

On a related topic Mitch Unrein looks good today for the Broncos.
