I'll take the win any day ugly or not!! Boise St simply didn't make the plays down the stretch and Wyoming capitalized. This team has been proving all year that they can hang with anyone despite glaring deficiencies. Shyatts guys probably won't make a ton of noise at the end of the year(hopefully I'm wrong), but every game they play is pretty much gonna be a dogfight, and anyone who overlooks the cowboys will probably leave the game stunned.

Any writer will tell you that "despite" is diminutive to "in spite of". This is an example of word count and emphasis.

But seriously, Wyo has been in every single game we have played with the SLIGHT exception to Ohio State.

If this team knew how to close out games better, the only loss would be to Ohio State.
I mean seriously, we had the CU game, the SMU game, the DU game, the Nevada game, and the NM game.
This team finally closed out a game.

This could be a HUGE win for the Pokes showing them how to close out a game.
This team is SO damn close to being a 15-1 team.

Hopefully they get a big boost of confidence after this win.
They can correct some things over the next week, then welcome SJSU to 7220 and even up their MWC record at .500

It was a gutty win for sure, but did you see our guard play it was horrible.

I'm obviously thrilled we pulled out the W. As far as guard play goes, 14 turnovers from our 3 starting guards isn't going to cut it most nights. Hopefully we can get it under control a little bit better. With that being said, I'll take all the turnovers in the world if we keep pulling wins out :lol:

It was a gutty win for sure, but did you see our guard play it was horrible.

Offensively and with turnovers? Yeah.
Defensively? Hell no.
Their 3 starting guards went a combined 8/28 (28.57%) 26 points and 9 assists. Sure that is great for 1 player, pretty good for 2, but for 3? That's not good at all.
Their 3 starting guards did out rebound us 12-7 though.
They also got 2 steals, we didn't get one with the guards.

Not to mention that their guard heavy lineup came in averaging 87 points a game and we held them to 50! 37 less than their average!
