Wyo @ Boise

Game is on ESPN3 on Saturday night in Boise.

Good news? Wyo can play with anyone.
Bad news? Wyo struggles putting teams away.

I think this team is sick of losing and through these close losses they are starting to develop a never say die attitude. It isn't quite there yet obviously, as we have lost 4 of our last 6 games by a combined 17 points, with 3 of those 4 losses being by 3 points.

Boise doesn't have a 7 footer to shut down Nance. Their tallest player is 6'9. I think Nance has a BIG game.

I think the team comes out, and surprises everyone, and takes it to Boise all game. Wyo wins by 10.

Um....you realize Boise almost shocked SDSU in San Diego last night, right? Only a few days after SDSU beat Kansas in Lawrence. I expect Boise to win comfortably, potentially run the Pokes out of the gym. Leon Rice's teams always bounce back strong from losses. Boise now has losses to three Top 12 teams....two by only a few points.

Anything can happen of course.....but Boise's guards >>>>>>> Wyoming's guards.

Yep, I'm aware. But Wyo won't get ran out of the gym at all.
This team isn't just going to crumble.
Shyatt doesn't want to start 0-3. Nance and Adams don't want to start 0-3.
They will bounce back, call it a homer pick, call it a gut feeling, whatever, but Wyo will bounce back hard, they are sick of losing.

lol oh okay....I'm all for gut picks...I make them all the time. It just sounded like you were stating things as fact....I guarantee you Wyoming will be a sizable underdog going into this game.

Sizable underdog maybe, but Wyo won't be blown out. That doesn't happen with Shyatt, and it rarely happens in the MWC.
Just because Boise is good at bouncing back doesn't mean Wyo will just give them the game.

I guess part of this argument hinges on what one considers a "blowout". This game won't be in question past the 15 minute mark in the 2nd half at the latest. UW will likely be in a big hole by halftime. I don't care how sick the team is of losing. On the road with a massive talent deficit...doesn't look good for the Pokes. Double digit win for BSU.

Last year, we lost 4 conference games by more than 10 points and 3 others by more than 20. All it takes is for Nance to get a couple of fouls and were in big trouble.

Good point. But that was last year. When we had Gilmore and Leonard playing for themselves. Not the team.

OK everyone...there is about a 90% chance that the Cowboys lose this game, probably by a significant margin. No, it doesn't mean that they are suddenly a horrible basketball team who will only win 2 or 3 games the rest of the season. What it does mean is that they are mediocre basketball team playing a much more talented team ON THE ROAD who is looking to rebound from a tough loss. Anybody with any sort of realistic view of college basketball should not expect the Pokes to win this game, and frankly, should not even expect this game to be within reach at the end.

Player to Watch: Jeff Elorriaga (G, 6'2, 180 lbs, Sr.)
Yes, Drmic and Marks are the more well known scorers for BSU, but Elorriaga is a huge reason those two have driving lanes open to get to the basket. One of the best 3 point shooters in the entire country, he has the ability to make a close game a blowout in a hurry. He is espeically dangerous at home. I'd love to see him and Grabau go shot for shot. I'd give the slight edge to Elorriaga in his home arena.

Wyoming is a poor rebounding, offensively challenged, possession oriented team with medicore level talent. That was true at the beginning of the season in November, ccontinued to be true throughout the non-conference slate, and will be true tomorrow when we play BSU. Nobody should be surprised at a loss tomorrow. But...we will beat SJSU, and we will have a good chance of winning @Air Force, @Fresno, and in the AA against Utah State. Even though we will like lose by double digits tomorrow night, the conference season will not be lost.

I can't see us being competitive in this one after the emotional letdown with the Lobos on Wed, sorry, this will be blowout central, i'm afraid to say, but sure as heck hope I'm wrong as usual

 I didn't know that!!

So this game is on ESPN3 again. Will there be any other streams?
I don't get ESPN3 with Charter in Laramie.

The MW site does not have a stream for this game.
