Wyo. +8.5 vs. byu

We are +260 on the moneyline. I bet us on the moneyline as a dog all year and did great until the last game. Can we stop these guys? I haven't watched a byu game in years. I'm guessing they are big and strong, just like 24 to 26 year olds should be.

Any thoughts on how serious we are taking this game? I think to finish 8-6 after being 7-2 would leave kind of a bad after taste on an otherwise surprisingly good season. I'd love for Josh and Brian and company to go off on those guys.

I'm going to put some money down. Wyoming's the better team. Wyoming beat Boise State and BYU lost to them.

BYU has a bad and unproven QB who gets sacked and can't run. His best pass is the desperation jump ball but he doesn't have tall enough receivers like he did last year for that to work. Wyoming will be at least +2 in turnover margin and will send BYU packing back to yucky Utah County with a loss.

BYU fans will be mad about losing to a MWC school (they have delusion they are a Power 5 program) and respond by saying Wyoming has trashy fans and that they're morally superior as are the players on the BYU team. BYU fans get so mad when they lose to the state schools especially.

Then they'll rant on about how glad they are they left the MWC behind even though their situation is worse now and BYU's independence is one of the biggest inside jokes in college football running.

Go Cowboys

Nailed it.

LOL... Love it.

I'm having flashbacks to our last 2 defensive efforts on the road - UNLV and NM. So I'm a little wary of betting us in this spot. The total on the game is 56. I like the over.

I would've guessed more like BYU +7, 8.5 seems high to me, but regardless I'd still be wary of betting it. We can talk and talk about how prepared our guys are going to be, how much they'll understand the rivalry, how motivated Bohl will have them but at the end of the day it's a glorified exhibition game that doesn't mean much in the long run. I still have a hangover from last Saturday, wouldn't surprise me if some of the team did as well. A lot of the time teams that lose championship games have a tough time rebounding, look at the history of Super Bowl losers and they have whole off seasons to rebound.

BYU's offense hasn't frightened anyone in 2016, but I'm still wary of betting on Wyoming away from War Memorial Stadium. Cougar defense is good but dare I say a little dirty too. This line feels like a pass IMO.

Middle of the season, I'd take Wyoming money line all day. The injuries finally caught a thin team. We are 1-3 in our last 4. BYU doesn't look like a world beater but they have a decent D. If they pressure like SDSU did in the champ game, we could be in trouble

I've been posting it around but UW's success in this game is mainly on the O line. That's the strength of our team and they have to take a strong foothold in this game. BYU's D is their strength but it won't be the best D the Pokes have seen this year, just the oldest. Likewise play calling needs to be on point to give the big guys a better chance at success. Most likely UW is in the same boat since losing our 3 of our top 5 defenders. 31+ points for the auto win, score in the 24ish range it's gonna be close, score under 20 they lose.

We have been great against the spread all season and I predict we continue to beat the spread.

If this was a home game, I'd feel way better about covering. Let's face it, it's been a while since we looked good on the road. We even struggled at Nevada, a 5-7 team.
