Can't really argue with much of that. Only thing, I wouldn't hold injuries against players, especially for the RBs. Because when Swen and Smith played, they were pretty good. Otherwise, yeah.

RB corps should be solid, along with a deep O-line and a competitive/solid QB position. TE should be in good shape, too, with the 6'7" kids (Marcotte and Weinman) and Welch.

A thread below dealt with the WR position. The passing game must improve to help the O-line, run-wise, obviously. Looking at the WR freshmen, let's hope Alex Brown (6-4, 190), Devin Jennings (6-2, 175) and Isaiah Neyor (6-3, 195) can emerge quickly. The staff should add a WR or two during February.

On the defensive side, let's hope that at least a couple R-frosh kids will emerge at LB amongst Hicks, Abdullah, Gibbs and Suiaunoa.
 
The only two position groups that appear to be deficient is WR and LB. If we can reload at the LB position then we'll know we're on the right track as a MWC program. WR is what it is
 
LB is where it only because we lose two multi-year starters, one of whom was All-American caliber. So, yeah, some drop off is to be expected. And here's hoping the new Safeties coach is able to shore up the secondary, got burned pretty badly all season. Even against teams that normally have a lot of issues passing the ball (besides us) had good days when they played us.

No new coach, Dickert will stay as the DC/safeties coach. He was safeties coach 2017, 2018 and the 2nd half of 2019 after Garza left.
