Dimel > Glenn = DC > Vic > CB

FCS coaches can't win in the MW. Glenn got close, but CB will be UWs version of Bobby Hauk ( with a worse record).
 
If DC had been the coach, we would have scored 7 points and gone 3 and out with about 150 yards of offense by the "offensive guru". Vigen, as bad as a number of his play calls are, he's been head and shoulders above DC.
 
It isn't a DC vs CB argument. It is the fact tha FCS coaches can't win in the MWC ( Glenn, Hauck, Bohl) i don't blame Bohl he is clearly over his head. For the record DImel, Vic, Glenn, & DC never put this bad of a product on the field. I get gutting a program to make it better, but it is delusional to think that Bohl will magically make 190lb D-lineman into legit players. It is absolutely crazy what he is attempting. I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong, and like most everyone on this board I want conference championships.

You forget Edeen who would've been another. Name another 1A team that plays a 190lbs end. I honestly don't know if there is one. Not the players fault, but the coaches are nuts if they think that is going to build anything.
 
Apples and oranges I'm sure some will say (and i might agree), but all I have to say is that Shyatt inherited just as big of a shit show as bohl, and by some miracle, never even has had a losing season. It's ok tho, because we're only 3 years away from possible .500 records in football again!!!! Wahoo!!!! Wahoo!!!!!

For the record, Brian Hill might be my all time favorite football player to don the brown and gold. Total shame it's on this magnificent beast of a team.

Even though you all say 0-12. You still act like its a shock!

App St is actually a good team. 20-22 starters back from a team that went 7-5 last year should've been in a bowl too.

Then you guys take the positives and turn it into negatives... Hill transferring!? Really? Come on people.

There are two DE's under 200lbs on the two deep right now. Kevin Prosser has been playing DE instead of LB the last couple weeks. Granderson would be the other. If Seth Edeen was able to play that would be another. Now lets talk about our linebackers who are under 220lbs, how about our DT recruits that are under 260lbs? Not sure how even a superior weight and nutrition program could make up the difference there.
 
App state, EMU, and North Dakota are all great teams. It is okay, we should consider it is just an honor to share the field with them.
 
Finally. Someone who sees it the way I do. Dimel is the best coach Wyoming has had since Roach. He was a good fit for Wyoming and put a good staff around him with Matsakis as OC. Leading the conference in offense with the Triple Shoot offense. I have always believed Wyo needs a gimmicky offense that most teams are not used to facing. Offenses like the spread and pro style are just not a good fit for us.

I would have love to have seen what kind of continued success we could have sustained had Dimel stayed.

No success, because Dimels recruiting was garbage, hence why Vic's years seemed to be SO bad.
You think we went from 7-4 or 8-3 to 1-10 just because of a coaching change?
We had nothing. Soph Bramlet; Soph and frosh WRs; RBs Soph and Frosh; starting lots of RS Frosh and Soph on D Jacque Finn; Tyler Gottschalk all these guys were young. No upperclassmen.

Dimel had the ability to put a good coaching staff around him and recognize where people fit into the system. Vic did not. I don't think many people would argue Vic and Matsakis were very good assistants. Those are both Dimel hires.

"Good" is on a scale of relativity. There are probably 60-65 better teams in the country than App. State. They just play in a dismally bad conference and will end up with 8 wins.
