MatScouts ranks out to 300 overall. I assume he is top-5 in his weight class nationally.

Bo Bassett is the #1 recruit, before he landed at VT it was rumored that Iowa had offered him an NIL in the $3-5M range. Which, at first, I didn't think was possible, but they paid Buchanan $500k and a car for a semester of wrestling

He was actually the highest ranked wrestler in the country still unsigned and roughly #8 in his weight class in the entire country. For this late in the period, that is a pretty strong signing. To put that in perspective, I don't believe Wyoming football has ever signed a guy ranked that high in the country at their position in football or basketball.

Overall, I would be surprised if he cracked the lineup next year but he certainly could pan out and is ranked higher than any wrestler from the State of Wyoming (by far).

Rumors are that Bo Bassett's Virginia Tech deal could reach as high as $10 million pending performance and years in the program.
