WRESTLING: Cornhole and Wrestle-Offs

[Vapoke]

Their cornhole tournament starts at 3pm today in the IPF. If you are in Laramie for the game swing by and tomorrow Wrestle-offs in the fieldhouse. 141 and 165 are the weights to watch.

Some wrestle off results:

149 - Collins over Brooks
141 - Barrows over Wilson, Barrows also pinned Mizzou transfer Roller
125 - Harrison over Douglass
157 - Avila over Swan
165 - Rojas over Farrer
197 - Berisha over Caitlin

I assume Wyoming travels two 41s, 49s, and 57s as none of those matches were barn burner blowouts. I don't think there was even a TD in the 57 match.

Brooks lost? Wow

Also surprised Avila over Swan

Collins is the Dave Schultz winner so he certainly has the talent. Brooks is coming off a couple of surgeries so not too surprised. Avila and Swan I don't think even had a takedown in their match so that battle will be ongoing unless one of them finds an offense

Was roller supposed to be good?

Roller is a good wrestler. Barrows is good out of Colorado. If you look at the past results for Roller he either gets a pin or gets pinned.

I wouldn't look too much into these results as the lineup will be very fluid this year

Wyoming wins 51-0 over Western Wyoming (as they should). Great to see.

Bo Bassett just won a senior world gold medal before ever stepping on a college mat. Insane!!

Team USA gold. Spencer Lee finally got his gold (apparently on a torn ACL). Dake and Snyder beat Father Time for another gold
