Disappointment does not necessarily equate to "hate."

On these forums? It sure as hell does. There is way more anger a lot deeper than disappointed on these forums. Do you really think Josh just came up with that by himself? I'd bet money he posted that after reading these forums.

Do I hate the team? Of course not. Am I extremely disappointed??? Yes!

You are one person in a forum with many posts that are down right disrespectful of the players and the coaching staff. Yes I get it we lost and I'm not going to post about it or debate it it's easier to just mark the forums read and wait until next week.

This is pretty funny. For those who still have lingering disappointment in regard to last weeks game, as I indicated on another thread, get used to the feeling over the next 2-3 years ahead. The true contention window for a conference championship (not a bowl game opportunity) begins in earnest with the 2018 season. Until then it'll be peaks and valley's, with great potential being turned into surprising positive developments on one weekend, followed by head scratching less than stellar play the next. It's called a maturation process. Baby steps, walking upright, then running big and strong. Want 0-100 in a year or 2? Not happening. That's the straight dope. Swallow it.

It would make an interesting study. Sort highly successful coaches in P5 and G5 and look at their winning percentage progressions. Urban Meyer is on one extreme of taking very little time to build powerhouse programs no matter where he is at. Jim M. did it relatively quickly at CSU. Gary Anderson had a bowl game in year 3 and 11 wins by year 4 at USU.

It would be interesting to see the point of digression from successful coaches compared with those who end up fired.

Hate? Disrespect? I have deen very little of that. I admit I didn't read everythread from last weekend but the ones I saw were mainly people expressing shock and dissapintment. People express it with different amounts of grace but I didn't see much of anything I could count as hate. IMO

Please...expound. Honestly, I want to see an exact post of me being "downright disrespectful of the players and coaching staff."

Disrespectful to DJ May because I am telling him I am paying to watch him play, so stop being dumb and PLAY!? Hate? not hardly.

If I hated them, I wouldn't spend so much freaking time and money supporting them.

Come on man...

Last week was a valley for sure... I am hoping to see a peak even this week. Last year had plenty of those. I just want to see improvement.

Why don't you read this thread again and let me know when you find where I said you. I said there are a lot of threads with a lot of disrespectful comments. For that exact reason I didn't call anyone out because most people post in anger but it doesn't change that once you post it's here for good.

Quit taking everything personal until your name is used.

What Josh Adams said is 100% right.

You're also taking the word HATE out of context. Josh didn't say we hate the players he basically said people were hating on the players as in the opposite of showing them the support they need.

Sorry, it sounded like you were saying I was one person who did this. I won't deny that this past weekend I was super disappointed. I read so much about our D Line, only to get man-handled. I read so much about our power running...only to be stuffed. I can honestly say I don't even hate DC. Hating a player is tough to do, but being disappointment in their decisions and commitment, I think is fair game.

as you were.... mark as read.

He should have just said don't kick the players when they are already down. They need support when they are at their lowest point and if he would have said that and not used the word hate this conversation probably wouldn't be taking place.

Last week was a learning experience, and Josh Adams is right, as much as this loss sucked as a fan, there's no need to berate the players. They'll get it figured out.

Dude, your Twitter has been pretty vial and arguably hateful.

Expressing that players who don't want to be here to find somewhere else to play? Or saying players who leave the team hanging, that they are selfish. Personally, I don't find that "hate." I don't know, "arguably hateful" is a stretch. I don't hate the players at all who make mistakes. Hate is pretty strong. Can one hate actions, but still support players?...I guess I am the only one who thinks so.

Never mentioned names or instances. Goes way beyond this week. I am also referring to the other suspensions as well from the week before etc. Just tired of it. That's all. Hate? Not hardly. Sorely disappointed for sure. players that jeopardize the team is very frustrating. If that defines me a hater, then it is what it is.

I do HATE poor judgment by people. I HATE losing. I HATE that May can't play (regardless of reason).

While you never put his name in your tweet, it doesn't take much more than a monkey brain to figure out who you're talking about when you tweet this as a reply to someone about the player in question:

Shi. Of course. Selfish little ####. I'm done with these clowns. What a waste of time and money. Needs his @ss kicked

If that's the quote at the bottom then that is too much. And it is the kind of stuff I was talking about on the other thread, comparing comments to the same comments being yelled at the team after the CSU cup throwing incident...

Good grief! People need to sit back and put this stuff in perspective. In general, it's just football. A game. And I love football. It's a passion. But when it brings out the worst in you, maybe it should go on the backburner of your life for a while. :twocents:

So what is an appropriate amount of distaste for the general state of Cowboy football? What can anyone say that isnt hateful? I would hate for a single person to have their feelings hurt. Think coach Bohl handed out orange slices and participation ribbons after the game saturday? Probably. #CowboyFeelingsMatter
