I am feeling better about the recruiting now that we know so many coaches will be coming with Bohl. This staff has been together so long and they have almost all of their roles ironed out, especially their recruiting areas so it will make it much more seemless when the dead period is over. Also VERY important, these coaches already know what type of athletes that Bohl is looking for and will accept so there won't be a ton of wasted time getting to know each other. I have no doubt that Coach Bohl's high profile will help as well. I think that we will be fine.
What worries me is that for the most part, is the same old song and dance it has been for years.
Bohl and his staff do have good recruiting ties, but they typically recruit the kids overlooked by the Big10 and Big12 teams. Not saying those kids aren't good, because clearly they are, but are they big enough and fast enough to compete in the MWC?
I know, I know, NDSU would have beaten Wyoming this season, but so did most teams in the MWC.
Bohl is going to need to recruit kids that are bigger, stronger, faster, and better than what he was doing at NDSU.
When he starts recruiting those kids, he is immediately competing with the rest of the FBS schools that are recruiting and offering those kids.
Can he convince those kids Wyo is the place for them?
