Who will lead the WRs?

Rufran looking less like a kid without his helmet.

Yup totally agree. He is growing up.
Think he has a chance to be in the NFL?
Scouts might see that he has been productive with Smith from day 1, and it might help him.

No. If Rufran could get some more YAC, maybe. He's a solid possession receiver. Herron had a pro catch against Idaho with yards to follow. That true frosh WR we have is intense

Super Bump.

From 2013 season.

I was correct with 2 out of my 3 team leaders.

I had Herron leading in TDs (but I was off by a whopping 5).
I had Rufran leading in yards, and he actually exceeded my prediction.
But I was totally off with Claiborne getting 80 receptions! Haha!

If you had Rufran leading in receptions and yards, and Herron leading in TDs, you won.

I think Rufran will be the go too guy again this season though. He's always been a reliable and sure-handed receiver. Decent speed, but not the deep threat kind of guy.

+1

I think Rufran leads in all 3 categories this season.
Receptions-12
TDs-3
Yards- 200

Haha! Totally joking about the numbers, but I do think he leads in all 3.

I really like Gentry. Seems like he works his butt off with little reward.

+1

He is big, strong, and can do work when covered.

I think he will end up 2nd in TDs, yards, and receptions.

Wasn't there someone on here earlier this summer or in the spring sometime that was saying that Gentry was being lazy and not working as hard and not impressing the new coaching staff? I vaguely remember something along those lines...

Yep someone said that, but when I would go to the gym on Friday nights I would ALWAYS see him in there Friday night lifting.
I don't buy the lazy part.

I'm still wondering what Sewell's deal is. Wasn't one of the highest ranked recruits his year? I know he got pretty sick his RSFr year, but holy balls, work out and maybe sniff the playing turf sometime in 5 yrs. It's been mentioned that he's bulked up quite a bit, but also that he's a bit lazy or something. It's just frustrating, because hi recruiting highlight reel from a combine somewhere was really impressive. He damn near juked a dude out of his shoes, if I remember correctly.

Yeah this year he should be on the field. SHOULD.

But I have actually heard of an athlete getting super sick, then many years finally getting to peak healthy.
That was just one athlete though, and it was Tom Danielson (cyclist).

I think Sewell should be playing now.

Dude...this deserves it's own thread! Not just another comment in some old thread!

Congrats to you and especially Tanner!

Thanks Beav. He has worked hard for it. Kudos to Coach Bohl for recognizing it.
