This timeline would kil recruitment for this year. Its why CU hired the coach before firing the AD

HR...hate to say this, but I think recruitment is already dead for this year. Just as it was in 2008. And 2003. Etc.
Our 2008 class wasn't terrible. But if we don't bring in a coach by the end of december we will be screwed.

I can't confirm 100% right now (and don't have the energy to do so) - but of the 24 recruits that year, I believe only 8 finished their careers as UW. Could be off one or two, but that 33% would indicate the 2008 (to play in 2009) class of DC's was horrific.

Oh, and one last thing - 4 of those 8 were Marty English recruits. OUCH! :tickedoff:
I believe Doctson and ACS were in that class. The fact that they left doesn't mean they were bad players. I'd say it means that most of those players didn't like DC or didn't like Laramie, or both.

Very true, but it is all the same IMO. AA and Shamwow were also in that class. Point is, less than 1/3rd of that class finished their careers at UW, and 4 of those (Marty's Kids) probably wouldn't have come here in the first place.
So a kid declaring for the draft or transfering means he isn't good? I guess I don't get what your point is.

No, not about good & bad (talent wise). And certainly I can see that the AA thing is out of the coaches hands. But transferring, IMO, is the same as quitting (ACS vs. David Toole for example). And it is about the class as a whole - to me - and who finished and who didn't. To have 8 (+/-) left from a class of 24 is horrible.

I agree it's bad. But I don't think its a metric of determining if the class was bad. I think it's a better metric on the coaching staff personally.

Completely agree.

I think this year's class (recruited by DC - if given the opportunity) is already taking a hit - meaning I think a new staff couldn't do any worse.
