Looks kind of cool sort of. Still waiting for that leather looking helmet to make its debut.

I don't mind it...but I love our true colors - Brown & Gold. Will definitely stand out on ESPN.

Strange thing is usually the home team wears dark colors and road team wears the whites

I would like to know how they came up with it. And other weeks choices as well.

Seems like quite the dart - dartboard scenario.

IIRC the players vote on the combination.

I think these are my favorites so far, the helmets are so cool IMO. If we could somehow get the whole crowd wearing white, that would create a great scene. But unfortunately, what fans are there will be wearing all sorts of colors as they will be trying to stay warm

Not like we promote it enough anyways.
Funny how Penn State can fill Beaver Stadium that holds 107,000 people with 90% white shirts, and we will maybe fill 24 thousand and get 1/4 brown 1/4 gold 1/4 white and 1/4 red.

I don't think it would matter much if they did promote it, a) most of the state doesn't care enough to go however far it may be for a game many people see as unwinnable on a cold Laramie November night and b) with it being a cold night, people are gonna wear whatever the hell they have that'll keep em warm, whatever color it may be. JMHO

Your "b" is the big deal from my perspective. It's a night game in November. Not a good choice for a "white out" game.

After thinking about this a few days...

What a stupid fucking idea. A white out? In November at 20 degrees? Brown would have been better - but that is a marketing nightmare as well.

Who the hell approved this dumb assed idea? We all know that answer. Another prime example of somebody in over their head / capacity at their job.

This. I don't own a white heavy coat and I'm not going to go buy one just for this game. It might work if they handed out shells or XXXL T-shirts to wear over your jacket, but no one is going to go too far out of their way just to wear white.

Agreed. If they did this early on in the year when it is still decently warm, it probably would have worked. However, 8:30 pm, 30 degree weather (that's without wind), and calling for a white out when most people don't own white coats? Not the best idea. I do, however, own a heavy brown coat.
