When in college I (we) used to attend bball games to see this somehwat dismal group in spite of the poor play of the team. Maybe HS could get more folks to the game if he got some half naked ladies dancing with the "wildfire" mindset LOL.

hahahaha the wildfire...

they were god awful. white chicks from the plains region that have no movement and rhythm what-so-ever

Eh...I disagree completely. They won all kinds of awards, competitions, & stuff like that.

Back to basketball though...HS seems quite "upbeat" about year 4. Says he has all the pieces, and that this team is really his first "team". Interesting.

Well if he doesn't succeed this year then... no excuses! Fire his ass!

For the players sake I hope HS has success. We wont know much about this team until conference play. That's where it usually falls apart.

Nothing spreads like wildfire...

Ha! A favorite quote when I was in the band, and it's funny because it was mostly true - at least in the late 90's - early 2000's. I'll never forget going to Vegas as a freshman in the pep band, comparing our dance squad to other schools (especially UNLV and SDSU) and thinking what could have been.

Anyway, Wildfire was defunded by the athletic dept a few years ago, and I believe the girls were folded into the cheerleading squad. I could be wrong about that, but that's what I remember hearing.
And I'm not sure even they could bring a crowd back to the AA this year.

GO POKES!

Sadlt I have to agree. As a student the view was free or at least already paid in tuition. To pay to see what has been put on the court the last couple of years would take more than the spread of a wildfire. :brick:
