Where does Brett go???

what number, or round, I'm hoping for around the 5th round, i just alot of folks don't over look his true potential,
as for Herron and Huff, I think they'll go 4-5th as well, GO POKES, the Arizona Cardinals can sure use all your services, lol

I think a team that'll need a new qb in the next couple of years will take him. Pats, Donks, etc. Only place I could see him starting is at Philly, since Chip Kelly runs a spread offense.

Starting in Philly next year over Nick Foles?? The same Foles who had the best passer rating in the NFL last year (ahead of Peyton Manning!). Only if Foles gets hurt or for some reason completely forgets how to play football.

Forgot about Foles.

I'm worried he might slide into the 5th or even the 6th but we'll see. Hopefully he's drafted as a project for a team with an older QB and not drafted as best player available and end up sitting behind Russell Wilson or something like that. Would be cool for his family to have him in Seattle, but I don't think it'd be the best situation for him.

Hate to see it, but I wouldn't be shocked for a 6th or later pick, or even a FA contract. If he were a senior even, I think his stock would have been much higher (just from being a senior - yes).

I have no "inside scoop", but I'm saying third round...maybe fourth. I think someone with serious football I.Q. is quietly biding their time to pick him up in those mid-rounds. It may come as a shock to whoever's fan base, but it won't take him long to win them over. I'm not a Steeler fan, but he could definitely be a blue-collar favorite someplace like that. Denver would be a great place for him as well.

In the last 9 years, on average, somewhere around 12 QBs have been selected. In 2004, the year Bramlet and Van Pelt were selected, there was something like 17 which was definitely an outlier.

This year's draft is loaded with quality players at lots of positions. The entire class of QBs doesn't scream excitement, so I see no indication that more than 12 QBs will be selected.

I think this is a better class than the 07 class Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, etc., I'm not sure the number of QBs selected will exceed that class (10 QBs taken that year).

Thus, I think Brett is undrafted and ends up in Denver or Tampa Bay.

Very tough draft to predict, however, so who knows.

I think he will go no earlier than 3 and no later than 5 but where he goes to is hard to say because he hasn't told any media who he has had private workouts with so we don't know as much as him as say Herron who we know every team he has worked out with because of his Draft Diary.

This mock has Brett going to Carolina.

salem article on brett:

I wonder what three teams worked him out?

here is an article about the Vikings that is interesting in that it doesn't mention brett at all, but it does say that the are going to take somebody, in the mid rounds. they have to draft a qb as they only have 2 qbs on their current roster, and both of those qbs will be end of contract at the end of this season. (not mentioned in this article)

This guy's got Quest in the second, Herron in the fifth and no Brett

I'd be fine with that :winky:

If he doesn't go to the Broncos, I hope he goes to an NFC team. I think he's gonna be good, and I don't want the Broncos to have to face him more often than not.

I'm seeing 7th-UDFA on a lot of sites. It's not looking good for Brett right now, hopefully he is a surprise pick.

The Eagles pick him up. I've heard from a few sources that Chip Kelly wants Brett Smith over Matt Barkley.

Makes sense but what round/FA?

I'll be glad when the draft is over with. Moving the draft back and playing it out over 3 days has turned the draft into more of a story in the media than actual games being played.

All these months later...and the only certainty at this point is that Adam Muema will be drafted by the Seahawks (God can't be wrong)
