When do they announce the teams for the NIT?

Looks like Wyoming did not get a bid, in fact the teams that got pushed down from NCAA in turn pushed Wyoming out. Basically MWC getting 4 teams into the NCAA pretty much cost us the one spot in the NIT.

We could get a CBI bid we will know tomorrow or Tuesday since they don't announce CBI invites until selection Sunday is over.

The 2012 CBI Tournament bracket will be released after 2012 NCAA Selection Sunday. The College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Tournament will invite 16 teams to play in the postseason tourney who are not invited to play in either the NCAA or 2012 NIT Tournament. The 2012 CBI will start on March 13th, 2012 and conclude with a best of 3 contest in the championship round that commences on March 26th, 2012.

I've been checking out some of the teams that got selected for the NIT. All I have to say is how the hell does Iowa get into the NIT with a f***ing losing record! 17-18 are you kidding me? Some of the others that had a lower RPI than the Pokes (81), Tennessee (82), LaSalle (84), Arizona (85), Cleveland St. (89), Minnesota (90), Stanford (96), Valpo (97), Illinois St. (99), Iowa (131), even Dayton was (80) and they got a 2 seed. there are other automatic qualifiers that I'm not including. Are you telling me there wasn't room for the Pokes from the 5th rated conference in the country? The PAC-12 that is rated lower than the MWC got more teams in the post-season thus far with 2 in the NCAA and 4 in the NIT. I'm done with my rant now, hopefully the Pokes can make a run in the CBI, if they even get an invite to that one.
