Not sure why people are upset. We won the game. We had a few drops, and a couple glaringly bad plays that could be a bit flukey. The fumbled punt trying to make extra yardage hurt. The weird play where we let the RB run down the sideline... I think we were afraid of getting a penalty for a late hit on the sideline and assumed he would run out or one of the other 3 guys would force him out. If we would have had those things go wrong if the past ...we might have lost, but we are improved to where a few bad plays don't kill a game. Really I thought we played solid other than a few plays and NM played well. If all the holds on Yarbrough are called the game wouldn't have been close. Stanton can fill between the tackles, but anything outside I prefer D Harris. Each guy has his strengths.

I assume some of the complaints after a win are based on gamblers not covering rather than the progress of the team. I still don't get folks that can't see this program is improving.

How have we improved- we look the same defensively and in the 3rd quarter as we have the past five years. We are exactly at last season's win total and have yet to beat a team with a winning record.

Hahahaha

We have the exact same amount of wins and are only halfway through the season!!!!
Holy shit man.....

How are we better? really? Look at the product on the field... I could go on an on about the areas we have improved, but I don't have the patience to do it for you, just to have you complain and knick pick it apart. If you can't look at the overall product and see improvement I'm not sure what you are focusing on. We are at a point where we can have an off day, a couple bad plays and still kneel on the ball to win. We used to have to pray for every break just to have a chance. So look at it, if you don't see it, then myself and the majority of fans I talk to disagree with you.

We are still in good shape for a conference run this year with almost the entire team returning next year... so maybe 2014-15 will satisfy some fans.

Not unless we beat Oregon 100-0 and average a play every 15 seconds.

Good point, aren't we only losing 5 or 6 starters out of 22?

Around there, but Huff, Mertens, and Herron are some of those losses. And obviously the big one will be if Smith returns.
