There never was one. It was manufactured nonsense from the Buffs. We never respected them or cared for them.

Corn shuckers=FAIL!
Is ignorance of the law a defense? Because I did not know about this rule.![]()
BYU to Wyoming fans is like Oklahoma to Nebraska fans. We fucking can't stand the basterds from Provo, Utah!
Change that from OU to Texas and Ill agree. Most Nebraska fans actually have great respect for most OU fans.

I remember Gary Barnett making a big deal out of it when he coached at CU in Boulder or as we Wyomingites call it, the People's Republic of Boulder.

There aren't too many mutually important rivalries. Colorado looked to Nebraska as a rival, Nebraska to Oklahoma, Oklahoma to Texas and Texas to Texas A&M. They just don't have equal importance to both teams.
Since joining the Big 10 I have discovered two real rivalries, the Ohio State University/Michigan and Indiana/Purdue. These people truly dislike each other.
I think there is some mixed thoughts on this...I really enjoy the Big Ten. I like the style more, the weekly matchups or and the BigTenNetwork is great. Sure I miss the great rivalry with OU, but that's the only Big12 team I really miss. Overall i'm very happy with the move. Not to mention seeing some of the top basketball teams in the nation is fun.Wyokie said:inhusker said:Oh, O.K. LOL I had a professor in college who graduated from Purdue years earlier and he always talked about their rivalry with Indiana especially in basketball.
Speaking of Nebraska in the Big Ten, how's everybody liking it after haven been in the Big 6/7/8/12 since the 1920s?

Another good thing about moving to another conference....no more reading about the bitch fights between OU & Texas. Those two are like an old married couple that needs to divorce but won't.
Gawd, I miss home....the Great State of Wyoming.
