i didn't say its bad, just shows the arrogance of the bigger boys, not giving a lesser have any chance at all....hell we know that so why even play the damn thing then?? it's frustrating year in and year out hearing you dont' have a chance in hell, but lord for bid if the upset is pulled would we get any votes or credit for that huge win? probably not because of our conference, schedule etc...etc etc...that's why the media and fans around the country get mad when a Boise St comes out of a "weaker conference" and shakes it all up.
arguments are good for the sport of the game, but people tend to forget what it really is anymore, just a damn football game, it's sad when bigger boys schedule 4 cream puffs, destroy them and then only have to win 2 more to get to 6 wins and be bowl eligible, when we scramble to win those 4, then have to bust ass in conference to come close to 6 wins. that's what I'm trying to get at....I guess we want to matter, but when we can't compete with huge athletic budgets etc. etc... we cant' anymore. You gotta admit, I'm right on all those aspects. I guess deep down I'm a sports fan and love the game for what it "really' is and should be a game, and glad i have the chance to experience a game in a stadium that many of my relatives have been in, my relations are all over Nebraska and bringing my parents for a once in a lifetime experience. so my faith and hope isn't any less than yours. In reality we know it's spozed to be fun and just a game in the big scheme of things....sorry I'm ranting I just get tired of never mattering anymore...
